HABITAT 67 is a model community and housing complex in Montreal, Canada, designed by Israeli-Canadian architect Moshe Safdie. Habitat 67 is widely considered an architectural landmark and one of the most recognizable buildings in Canada.
The "Montreal" poster pays homage to the iconic architectural masterpiece celebrated for its modular and geometric design. This artwork replicates the building's stacked, interlocking cubic forms using bold colors. PosterLad is an art project by renowned designer and artist Vratislav Pecka. He believes that a poster does not always have to promote an event or product.
The main common features of Vratislav Pecka's work are basic shapes and vivid colors. His work was influenced by the Bauhaus school and a certain nostalgia for and memories of the 90s.
The PosterLad project started in 2016. Pecka's style is constantly evolving, and the artist does not stick with one style for too long. Within a few years, PosterLad became popular on social media and was awarded a couple of major international design awards.
